I had a great experience flying Emirates.  On time departures, great food, friendly flight attendants, and an empty seat for each flight made the trip here very pleasant.  There was one problem:

    boo. broken inflight-tainment.
    yeah, had a somewhat similar issue once on a domestic west to east flight. the SAT tv system wasn't working properly. kept displaying that I wasn't a subscriber or it kept looking for the satellite.

    good it was a uneventful flight nonetheless.
